• Describe the exact need: brushing, light detangling, loose hair, appointment preparation, transport to a groomer or simple organization of equipment.
• Ask whether the animal bites, scratches, panics, struggles, hides for a long time, has already injured someone or cannot tolerate certain handling.

• Avoid bathing if the animal is not used to it, if it is a fragile small animal or if complete and safe drying is not guaranteed.
• Plan pauses, stop as soon as the animal shows clear distress and never continue just to “finish at all costs”.
• Do not clip claws, shave, remove a tight mat, deep-clean an ear or touch a painful area without qualified skill and an appropriate framework.
• In case of doubt about health, pain, fear, safety, species, required skill or responsibility, stop the simple request and refer it to the competent service.
