• Obtain clear agreement from the person concerned before any observation, photo, moving of an object, transmission of information or contact with a third party.

• Note visible obstacles: rugs, cables, low furniture, boxes, shoes, decorative objects, plants, thresholds, extension cords, doors that stick or cluttered areas.
• Check useful lighting without electrical handling: dark areas, bulbs out of reach, poorly placed switches, poorly visible hallways or insufficient contrasts.
• Avoid any moving of heavy furniture, any uncertain fixing, any intervention on sockets, cables, lights, lines, taps, heating, gas or technical installations.
• Prepare a simple summary: rooms observed, apparent risks, possible simple tasks, points to refuse, providers to contact and information to transmit with agreement.
• Stop the intervention and refer to a professional if the situation appears medical, urgent, electrical, plumbing-related, structural, disputed, insurance-related, too heavy or not sufficiently safe.
