Fall prevention in the district of Visp

DomusHelp helps organize practical support to reduce the risk of falls at home in the district of Visp and Upper Valais. This subcategory focuses on small everyday adjustments: obstacles on the floor, slipping rugs, cluttered pathways, insufficient lighting, simple support points, thresholds, stairs, night-time movement and visual orientation within the home. The interventions must remain simple, non-medical, non-structural and adapted to the person’s real situation.

What this help covers

This support may involve identifying small visible risks in the home: a slipping rug, a cable on the floor, poorly positioned furniture, a dark area, a narrow passage, an object that is difficult to reach, an obstacle near the bed, a bathroom that is not easy to navigate or insufficiently secured night-time movement. The goal is to make the home clearer, safer and easier to navigate without turning the intervention into a medical assessment or a technical renovation project.

DomusHelp does not replace an occupational therapist, doctor, physiotherapist, home care service, architect, building specialist or safety professional. In case of repeated falls, dizziness, loss of balance, cognitive difficulties, pain, need for medical care, complex home adaptations or doubts about the person’s safety, the situation must be referred to a qualified professional.
