Canton of Fribourg

Launch in preparation

DomusHelp is preparing to launch in Fribourg

Making practical, non-medical services at home easier to find nearby.

Building on the work started in Valais, DomusHelp is preparing its development in the canton of Fribourg. The aim is to make local providers easier to find and everyday arrangements simpler for residents and their families.

The pages and local content are being prepared. Coordination services in Fribourg are not yet open.

For residents and their families

The project is intended for anyone looking for practical help at home, particularly people aged 55 and over and family carers. It aims to make information easier to read and compare.

Looking after the home

Cleaning, routine upkeep and help with small everyday jobs.

Organising daily life

Information to help people find suitable support for practical tasks at home.

Using digital tools

Support with everyday digital tasks and pages that are easy to read on a phone.

Rooted in the canton

The planned rollout covers Fribourg’s seven districts. French and German are the priorities; Italian and English content will be expanded gradually.

  • Broye
  • Glâne / Glane
  • Gruyère / Greyerz
  • Sarine / Saane
  • Lac / See
  • Singine / Sense
  • Veveyse / Vivisbach

The directory’s coverage will be clarified as pages are prepared and local providers are listed.

Paid student development work envisaged

DomusHelp aims to fund paid software development assignments for students enrolled at the University of Fribourg. With technical supervision, they could work on accessibility, multilingual user journeys and directory management tools.

Funding, recruitment and arrangements for these assignments are still to be established. No institutional partnership with the University is being announced at this stage.

Take part in the preparations

Do you provide non-medical services in the canton, have software development skills or wish to support local development? You are welcome to tell us about your work or your interest.

An independent directory

DomusHelp retains control of provider listings. Financial support gives partners no say in provider selection or ranking. Any advertising placements are identified separately; users’ personal data are not part of the benefits offered to partners.
