Wiping doors, handles, switches and accessible exterior surfaces of letter boxes where these tasks are included in the specification. The provider must not open letter boxes, move mail or view names or documents beyond what is necessary for cleaning.

Cleaning glazed doors, partitions and small accessible glazed surfaces according to height and safety conditions. High-level glazing, façades, rooflights or work requiring special equipment are part of a separate assignment.

Products and methods must be compatible with floors, handrails, paintwork, metals, stone and other materials. Cleaning frequently touched surfaces does not automatically constitute disinfection. Any disinfection must be expressly defined, justified and carried out using a suitable product and method.
Quotation, specification and reporting
The quotation should state the property, areas, frequency, times, tasks, exclusions, products, equipment, waste, access arrangements, travel, charges and price. Reporting a defective light bulb, water leak or visible damage is neither a diagnosis nor a repair.
Clear limits
Stairwell and communal-area cleaning does not replace property management, a security service, unagreed winter service, an electrician, a lift specialist, a fire-safety specialist, pest control, decontamination, intervention after an incident, hazardous-waste removal or unsafe work at height. Any situation presenting a risk to residents, the building or the environment must be handled by the competent specialist contractor or service.
