DoMusHelp is a commercial project that is already available online and is currently operated by its founder. The operating company planned for DoMusHelp has not yet been incorporated. Incorporation is planned once the necessary legal, financial and operational conditions have been met.
For questions about data protection or to exercise your rights, you may write to the email address above.
Role of DoMusHelp
DoMusHelp is a territorial platform for practical coordination, guidance and the listing of non-medical services related to the home.
It assists older people, families and family carers in clarifying a practical need, organising useful information, identifying local providers or resources and preparing a contact request.
DoMusHelp is not a medical, nursing, public social or emergency service. It does not diagnose, provide medical advice or make decisions on behalf of individuals.
Services are provided directly by the selected providers. DoMusHelp does not charge a commission on their work and does not intervene in the contract between a provider and its client.
Personal data processed
Depending on how you use the website, the following categories of personal data may be processed:
- Technical data: IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser type, operating system, device type and information required for the operation and security of the website.
- Audience and usage data: pages viewed, duration or sequence of use, device type, approximate geographical area and technical or contact events, depending on the active Matomo configuration.
- Contact data: first name, telephone number, optional email address, municipality or postcode, request category and free-text description when you prepare and then send a message to DoMusHelp.
- Professional data: identity, role, organisation, contact details and the content of communications when a provider, association or partner contacts DoMusHelp.
DoMusHelp asks you not to send a diagnosis, treatment details, an OASI/AHV number, detailed banking data, passwords, verification codes or intimate information that is not necessary for the practical request.
How the first-contact form works
The form on the home page does not automatically transmit your information to a WordPress database. It prepares an email in your email application. Nothing is sent to DoMusHelp until you review the message and choose to send it yourself.
When you send the email, its content is processed by your email provider and by the email provider used by DoMusHelp. A local check for certain sensitive words may display a warning in your browser before the message is opened; this check is neither a diagnosis nor an automated decision about your situation.
Purposes of processing
Personal data is processed only to the extent necessary to:
- operate, maintain and secure the website;
- understand website use and improve content;
- respond to a request and clarify a practical, non-medical need;
- prepare contact with a provider or local resource when the individual requests it;
- manage communications with providers, partners, associations and other organisations;
- comply with legal obligations and protect rights in the event of a dispute.
DoMusHelp does not make automated individual decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on visitors.
Cookies and audience measurement with Matomo
DoMusHelp uses Matomo Analytics to produce audience statistics and understand which pages are viewed. Depending on the active technical configuration, Matomo may process the viewed URL, referring page, date and time, browser and device information, an approximate geographical area, a shortened or masked IP address and navigation events.
A request’s name, email address, telephone number and free-text content must not be intentionally sent to Matomo.
Matomo can operate with or without analytics cookies, depending on the enabled settings. A strictly necessary cookie may also be used to remember an opt-out choice. The technical settings, any cookie duration, the level of IP masking and the retention period must match the configuration actually in use and must be updated in this policy when they change.
Statistical data is not sold and is not used to create individual advertising profiles.
Measurement of contact actions
Where this measurement is enabled, DoMusHelp may count certain actions taken on a listing or page:
- clicking a telephone number;
- clicking an email address;
- clicking through to a provider’s website;
- preparing or sending a request.
These measurements are used to understand whether a page generates genuine interest. The statistical event must be limited to a listing or page identifier and the type of action. It must not contain a name, email address, telephone number, request text or health data.
Recipients of personal data
Personal data may be accessible, to the extent necessary, to the following categories of recipients:
- Verena Stefani and, where applicable, persons expressly authorised to support the operation of DoMusHelp;
- technical service providers required for hosting, security, email, maintenance and audience measurement;
- a named provider or local resource, only where the individual requests an introduction and has first been informed of the necessary disclosure;
- public authorities or professional advisers where required by law or necessary to protect rights.
Commercial partners and advertisers do not have access to named requests, visitor contact details or data relating to people receiving support.
Processing outside Switzerland
Certain technical providers may process data from another country depending on their infrastructure. Where such processing takes place, DoMusHelp checks the country concerned, the applicable level of protection and the safeguards required. Information about providers, countries and safeguards must be kept up to date according to the hosting, email and Matomo systems actually used.
Retention
- Technical data and security logs are retained only for as long as required for security, troubleshooting and operation of the website.
- Detailed Matomo data is retained for a limited period according to the active settings; aggregated reports that no longer reasonably identify an individual may be retained for longer.
- Requests and email communications are retained for as long as necessary to respond, arrange useful follow-up and document the exchange, and are then deleted or anonymised when no longer required, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Contractual and accounting records are retained for the periods required by applicable law.
Security
DoMusHelp applies technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk, including access restrictions, encrypted connections, component updates and data minimisation. No system can, however, guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Within the limits of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, you may in particular ask whether personal data concerning you is being processed, receive the information required by law, have inaccurate data corrected and request deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met.
Reasonable identity verification may be required to prevent another person from accessing your data. Requests may be sent to contact@domushelp.com.
In the event of disagreement, you may first contact DoMusHelp. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or exercise your rights through the procedures provided by law.
Links to third-party websites
The website contains links to providers, associations, public authorities and other third-party websites. When you open such a link, the third-party website processes data under its own privacy policy. DoMusHelp does not control such external processing.
Opt out of Matomo statistics
You may opt out of Matomo audience measurement using the module below. Your choice may be stored in your browser by means of a technically necessary cookie.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if services, technical tools or legal requirements change. The date shown at the top of the page identifies the published version.
